About Us

Bringing teacher innovations to life!

Our Mission

The Binghamton City Schools Foundation (BCSF) provides educators the critical funds needed to support new and innovative approaches to teaching and learning. Grown from the Alumni Association, the BCSF was founded in 2008 to support fundraising to benefit current and future Binghamton students.

Our Impact

Our Grant program expands the resources available to teachers, in turn boosting the quality of education in the district. Grants impact students in grades K-12, and can make immediate advances in academics, the arts, curriculum based athletics, student enrichment, social and emotional learning and staff professional development.

At the classroom level, this means students experience programs, equipment, trips or activities that they might not otherwise as part of school operating budgets. Foundation grants afford staff the opportunity to “think outside the box” when they design their curriculum, in turn expanding student experiences and opportunities.
