If You Had a Blank Check for Your Classroom, What Would You Do?
The Binghamton City Schools Foundation provides teachers with the resources to dream of new ways to teach and engage students. Our goal is to support teacher creativity and enrich the educational experience of all Binghamton students for generations to come! The BCSF has funded more than $250k for 150 teacher grants across all subjects and grades.
Types of Grants Funded
Grants will be considered for ideas that support the BCSF mission and make immediate advances in all academics, technology, innovation, the arts, curriculum – based athletics, multicultural initiatives, social, emotional and mental health education and staff professional development. Applications are reviewed according to a standard BCSF process within set deadlines, and must receive BCSD approval prior to submission for consideration.
Grant cycles are typically held in Fall and Spring. Check back for updates on the next grant cycle.
How to Apply
Behind every grant application is a hardworking and innovative educator! Each request must be made during an active grant cycle, and will go though a comprehensive review process. We use a scoring rubric and evaluate all applications for alignment with our mission using specific criteria. A Grant Committee recommends award winners, subject to approval by the full Foundation Board of Directors. To learn more, see our:
